Event production mentoring

  • Where can I get advice on what is needed technically to run my event?

  • What is a good length for a live event?

  • How to I liase with big name artists and speakers to get the best out of them?

  • Is my venue suitable for a public performance?

  • Should we charge for our event?

  • How do we set a budget...and stick to it.

If you are organising an event and are asking any or all of these questions, then you may want to ask Room 3 to help.

The Room 3 team have built up considerable experience in planning and organising large live events. This ranges from specifying the techincal requirements and logistics, through planning the programme content and timings, to health and safety issues. Why not let us look over your shoulder as you plan your own event and provide consulting and advice during the whole lifecycle of the event.

This could include advice on:

  • PA, lighting, video or staging requirements

  • how to book artists and what they need to know about your event

  • the importance of planning

  • assembling the right team for your event

  • suitable venues

  • health and safety issues

  • the mechanics of an event - setup, rehersals, the show, and the teardown

  • the little things that will make your event more professional

  • where to cut corners if the buget is tight (and where not to!)

Since it can often take time to apply this advice to a specific event, Room 3 may charge a small fee for this service.
